Overview
Our one day Advanced Navigation & Map Reading for Hillwalkers course builds on the skills learned in our Intro Navigation & Map Reading for Hillwalkers course. It is suitable for those who have attended this or who have a good knowledge of the basics and want to build on their current skills.
Here we will look more at navigation away from the paths paying closer attention to contour features. We will practise how we would navigate in poor visibility. It is designed to develop the skills required to be proficient navigating remote mountain walks.
Locations
We offer of our advanced navigation courses in the Southern Uplands and the Pentland Hills. If you have another location where you would like us to run a course please just get in touch – our freelance instructors are based all over UK.
