Cape Wrath Trail

The Cape Wrath Trail is often considered the hardest long-distance trek in the UK. The challenge of this route is matched by its breathtaking scenery, making it one of the wildest and most beautiful walking journeys in the UK.

We offer the Cape Wrath Trail across three distinct guided trips, which can be combined together for those that would like to complete the full trek in one go. For the majority of our customers the Cape Wrath Trail South and Cape Wrath Trail North is their complete Cape Wrath Trail adventure. Our Cape Wrath Trail Knoydart Expedition offers the option of adding the first and most remote leg of this trail, through the rough bounds of Knoydart from Fort William to Kinloch Hourn.

Cape Wrath Trail South

Most people will start their Cape Wrath Trail adventure with this 81 mile trek. The south section of The Cape Wrath Trail takes you from Kinloch Horn to Leckhelm (near Ullapool). Passing The Falls of Glomach, gaining views of The Torridon Mountain Range and experiencing the wilderness of The Fisherfields along the way. Many will combine this trek with the north section straight afterwards, however, the north section can of course be enjoyed on a separate occasion if preferred.

Cape Wrath Trail North

Our North section of The Cape Wrath Trail takes you from Leckhelm (near Ullapool) on a 101 mile journey to the Cape Wrath Lighthouse. Highlights of this section include one of Scotland’s most remote but beautiful beaches, Sandwood Bay, and views of iconic mountains including Foinaven, Arkle and Suilven. Many will have completed The Cape Wrath Trail South before undertaking this section, however, there is absolutely no requirement to do so. For more information click the link below.

Cape Wrath Trail Knoydart Expedition

The Expedition section of our Cape Wrath Trail is often undertaken by those who wish to fully complete every part of the trek or by those looking for a wild camping experience. Therefore, the expedition is a bonus part of our Cape Wrath Trail. This 57 mile trek across Knoydart includes 2 nights of wild camping and so it is not just about the Cape Wrath Trail. It also makes an excellent trek for those wanting an extremely remote adventure.
