The Aonach Eagach & Gearr Aonach Weekend

Aonach Eagach Ridge

About The Aonach Eagach & Gearr Aonach Weekend

Our guided scrambling weekend on The Aonach Eagach Ridge & Gearr Aonach gives you a fantastic introduction to the thrills of scrambling on some on some of Scotland's most iconic mountains. The Aonach Eagach is one of the most well-known ridges in Scotland and for many people is a huge achievement in its own right. This 6 mile route summits two Munros; Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh, but for many it is the legendary grade 2 scrambling in between these mountains that makes this such an exhilarating challenge. Coupled with the Zig Zags of Gearr Aonach, the famous middle section of The Three Sisters you are certain to have a weekend you will never forget.

Is This Weekend Right for Me?
This scrambling weekend is perfect for those ready to take the step up from regular hill walking to scrambling. You don't need any experience of scrambling but must come with the understanding that you will need a head for heights, as these routes are very exposed. You will also need a reasonable level of fitness, as they are tiring and long days. However, your instructor will be fully aware that this may well be a big challenge for you and will encourage you through this exciting weekend.
